Afghan film maker Sahraa Karimi sees her role as storyteller as an opportunity to not only tackle the widespread clichés but to introduce her country’s identity to the world. During her lecture at this year’s VUB Gender Week she stressed the importance of filmmakers and women’s participation in Afghanistan.
