HIGHLIGHTS
 

• The textile work from 'Towards a Ruined Theater' by Sara Manente, Sébastien Tripod, and Deborah Robbiano, developed for the Pilar exhibition as part of Pilar's KunstxScience program in collaboration with Kaaitheater and VUB Crosstalks. The curtain installation explores the imaging of an entire theater through collaboration with fungi and molds.

• The mycelium block from Elise Elsacker's research. Explore the innovative possibilities of sustainable architecture with a prototype mycelium block grown and shaped using a unique combination of biological growth and robotic wire-cutting. This process enables the mycelium to act as a multifunctional formwork with self-healing properties.

The exhibition takes place from September 27 to September 29 at Gemeenschapscentrum Ten Weyngaert.
Admission is free.
Opening hours: Friday, September 27, from 15:00 to 21:00, and Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 from 10:00 to 22:30.

Part of CurieuCity, a new arts and science festival offering scientific, artistic, and educational activities, partly in public spaces and in collaboration with local initiatives. The second edition will take place from September 27 to 29, 2024, in the Marais Wiels district, focusing on biodiversity and natural sciences.
