Lessons learned from Biosphere 2

The Biosphere 2 experiment was an audacious eco-optimistic project. Two manned missions took place in the early 1990s in which crews were sealed inside an enclosed structure to study survivability. What can we learn from this experiment? What do the insights from the experiment mean for today’s global environmental challenges?

On March 29 The New York Times devoted a major article on one of the world’s strangest science experiments. On April 28 Crosstalks looks into the legacy of Biosphere 2 with Kathelin Gray, Bas Smets, Philippe Claeys a.o.
