The Invited Talks are part of the Academic Chair ‘Stewardship of Finance’ founded by Vrije Universiteit Brussel and sponsored by six major insurance companies. The Holder of the Chair is the famous Belgian anthropologist, Paul Jorion. The project benefits from an active contribution by ULB and Vesalius College. The chair gives rise to new insights in the ethics and morals of financial activities, more specifically of insurance and financial management.

Bios / Slides

Jacques Attali (FR) is the former adviser to President François Mitterrand and the founder of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. He is currently CEO of A&A, a consultancy firm, and President of the non-profit organization PlaNet Finance. Attali was also nominated President of the Commission for the Liberation of French Economic Growth. He published more than fifty books, including essays and novels. Jacques Attali belongs to the top 100 public intellectuals in the world, according to the Foreign Policy Magazine (May/June 2008 and 2010)
